The World of PERAMA

Clothing for unofficial sports
Even where it probably shouldn't.

PERAMA International is a federation of sporting clubs in places that make no geographical sense.

Surfing in landlocked Mongolia.
Camel racing through Helsinki. Ice hockey on the beaches of Barbados. Lawn bowls on the slopes of Everest.

Every club is fictional.
Every club is official.
We don't see a contradiction.

Mongolian Surf Association

Where endless steppe meets endless wave. Eight thousand kilometres from the nearest coast, the Mongolian Surf Association trains year round on water that technically doesn't exist. Founded on the principle that if you believe in the wave, the wave believes in you.

Current membership: growing

Helsinki Camel Racing League

Finland's premier camel racing circuit. Races run through the city centre every season, drawing crowds of dozens. The camels have adapted remarkably well to the Nordic climate. The Finns have adapted remarkably well to the camels.

Dress code: strict

East Antarctica Cricket Club

Test match cricket at the bottom of the world. Conditions make English cricket weather look tropical. The pitch is technically ice. Nobody has ever complained, because nobody can feel their mouth.

Season: short

MT. EVEREST LAWN BOWLS ASSOCIATION

Lawn bowls at 8,849 metres. The Mt. Everest Lawn Bowls Association maintains the world's highest bowling green, where thin air makes precision difficult and sub-zero temperatures make standing still worse. The jack has never once rolled straight. Every end takes roughly four hours. Members carry supplemental oxygen and considerable patience.

Altitude sickness: frequent.

OKINAWA CURLING ASSOCIATION

Tropical curling in Japan's warmest prefecture. The Okinawa Curling Association competes on ice that shouldn't form, in temperatures where it definitely won't last. The stones have been described as enthusiastic. The ice has been described as optimistic. Training continues year round, conditions permitting. Conditions rarely permit.

Annual ice budget: significant.

VENICE MOTOCROSS LEAGUE

Motocross through the canals. The Venice Motocross League runs a full season along routes that were never designed for anything with an engine. Bridges serve as jumps. Gondoliers serve as course marshals. The city has not officially endorsed the league. The league has not officially asked.

Noise complaints: ongoing.

Emerging Clubs

Recently ratified. Still finding their feet. These clubs passed the federation's admission criteria on technicalities that nobody has had time to review. Full membership is pending.

Uniforms are already in production.

Odyssey

The Cultural Department's quiet obsession. Ancient objects, mostly Greek, mostly forgotten, given a second life on cotton. The department has a long list. They work through it slowly.

Nobody rushes them.

Classics

The department for pieces that don't belong to anyone. No club. No federation. No paperwork. Just the kind of thing you put on when nobody's asking questions. Designed in house.

Approved by nobody in particular.

EVERY PIECE CARRIES THE CREST OF THE CLUB

Our t-shirts and sweatshirts are PETA approved vegan, GOTS certified organic cotton, OEKO-TEX Standard 100. Our hoodies are OEKO-TEX Standard 100.

Made to order, so nothing sits in a warehouse and nothing goes to waste. The fit is considered. The quality is deliberate. The prints are ours.

The Federation is always open

Pick a club. Wear the crest.

Mention your training schedule in conversation and see what happens.
